Join our Mission to Research Bias in Advertising

IBM Watson Advertising is conducting a research initiative focused on achieving fairness in advertising through the detection - and hopefully, mitigation - of unwanted bias in technology, looking at AI models and the data that they consume.

We have partnered with IBM Research and are leveraging several of their open toolkits that are used to help with the development of trusted AI, including AI Fairness 360, which helps examine, report, and mitigate discrimination and bias in machine learning models throughout the AI application lifecycle.

Our goal is to minimize the impact of bias on consumers, brands and campaigns while establishing practices to maintain performance.

There are two primary areas where you can get involved:

• Education: Connect with us to help your team learn more about bias in advertising and the research mission to date.

• Participation: Engage with our team and discuss contributing campaign data to the research.
